Naomi Judd commits suicide!

The Judds, the country music duo Naomi Judd was part of, has died.

The family is in complete disbelief. The statement was shared on Saturday by her daughters, Wynonna and Ashley Judd, who wrote a beautiful tribute to their artist mother. The family cannot comprehend the withdrawal of her humanity while she was loved by her public.

Naomi Judd was a member of The Judds, alongside her daughter Wynonna. The duo had one of the most successful mother-daughter acts in country music.

Naomi and Wynonna’s best songs include “Mama He’s Crazy” which won them their first Grammy Award, “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Old Days)” and “Love Can Build a Bridge.”

The Judds were recently announced as inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame and are set to be inducted on Sunday. They also recently announced a final tour, with their first stops starting in September.

Naomi Judd was born in 1946 and gave birth to her daughter Wynonna at the end of her high school graduation. In the 1970s, Naomi was living in Los Angeles and was a model and secretary when she began singing with her daughter.

Wynonna Judd told NPR’s Scott Simon that she was surprised by how quickly her mother attached herself to her. It feels like they are one voice.

After moving to Tennessee in 1979, Naomi and Wynonna pursued a music career. In 1984, they signed a record deal with RCA Records and released their first EP.

As the Judds, Naomi and Wynonna quickly rose to fame with 20 Top Ten hits, five Grammy Awards, and nine Country Music Association awards between 1984-1991.

1990, after Naomi Judd was diagnosed with hepatitis C and Wynonna pursued a solo career, The Judds ceased to perform.

Naomi Judd the wrote and published self-help and children’s books after getting help for depression, after performing at the CMT Awards in 2022.
